It would be nice to set dates for when tasks need to be done in the “Up Next” section
@Matt Foley Can you describe your perfect implementation of this? My first thought would be a datepicker (date + option of time), date shows within the list, and then would show ‘in 1 day’ or ‘in 5 hours’ or ‘3 days late’ rather than the date/time.
The Todoist UI for date picking looks pretty slick:
The Todoist date picker is maybe more than is needed, especially for an app like Slash that has a simple UI. Maybe a smaller implementation like the Things date picker?
I powered through this over the weekend. Try it out in the latest version of the app and share your thoughts here!
Currently, any scheduled task will live in the ‘Later’ column, and automatically move to ‘Today’ once the date is reached.
Works great so far… thanks!
is the scheduling function meant for when you want to get the task done, or when it’s actually due? i feel like it could be used for both, which would be helpful, however the way it currently works is confusing. for example, if i have a task that needs to be finished by tuesday, i can schedule it for tuesday. however, if i have another task that i would like to work on on a particular day, or this evening, i can schedule that too, but it will show up the same way without discriminating between a DUE date and a DO date, if that makes sense.
