Tasks disappearing from "This Week" list when using drag and drop#490

J

I’m using the app on MacOS Big Sur and for me when using the drag and drop action from tasks within a list to the “This Week” column, while the task is visually added, the counter for this week doesn’t go up and if I close and reopen the app that task disappears and doesn’t appear in any of the columns.

If I use the arrow icon “move one column right” instead then the task moves over correctly and its counted and remains after the app has been closed and reopened.

@Justanotherdave Are those by chance tasks already scheduled for this week? Those are counted in ‘This Week’ already. If not, can you share a screencast? (Loom.io is a great tool for that)

Happened with me too, 2 of my tasks disappeared while moving from “today” to “this week”.

Since i don’t even remember what they were. I’m kinda lost. Is there any way to recover them??

I don’t think so, at least I didn’t find one. @Jordan Lejuwaan They weren’t scheduled tasks. I’ve uninstalled Slash for now anyway as I don’t think it’s quite there yet to be charging money for. Maybe I’ll check back in a year or something.

i just bought the annual subscription yesterday and this happens. The last thing i want for my task manager is to lose my tasks. Please look into this. @Jordan Lejuwaan

Take a look at an app called Things. That’s what I’m using at the moment. It’s not quite as focused as Slash but I’m finding it very good to use.

You could use the method in my first post as a workaround? It worked fine for me when using the arrow to move things around rather than drag and drop.

I’m unable to replicate this! If anyone is able to capture it on a screen recording, it would be really helpful. Let me know!

Check this video @Jordan Lejuwaan . As soon as i added task number 9. Task number 7 and 8 disappeared.

Figured it out! I’m shocked it took this long for someone to notice this one. New version coming today with the fix.

Thank you @Vaibhav Bhasin for submitting that video to help out!
