App stalls on splash screen#55

First of all, let me thank you guys for your work on this app! It’s exactly the missing link I’ve needed in my GTD system and completely solves for my ADD-like wandering mind! Thank you!

Unfortunately, yesterday the app stopped operating for me. I open it and it stays on the little splash screen that says “Slash” indefinitely. When i go to the app’s preferences, it expands full screen and shows me the preference pane. I can click on account and see that I’m signed in. But if I try to click back to the task list I see an endless loading spinner.

Any advice on what to do here? I’ve reinstalled the app from the download page, but that didn’t do the trick. Help?

Hi there!

This is a known issue we’re investigating.

This is most likely caused by your closing the app while it was syncing. Before a permanent fix is released, here is a solution:

  1. Close Slash
  2. Go to “~/Library/Application Support” folder
  3. Delete “Slash” folder
  4. Reopen Slash, login and let it sync

This should solve it!

Thanks, Matt! Went through those steps but now the app is hanging on the “Loading…” message after clicking sign in (screenshot attached).

Update: Maybe there’s an issue with my account specifically? I just created a new account and now I’m up and running!
