App CPU and memory usage is excessive#648

On my Macbook Pro, “Slash Helper (Renderer)” is the #1 user of system memory (> 1GB) and #2 user of CPU next to the kernel, using over 1GB (6-12% of CPU even when idle.)

This seems a bit excessive for a to-do list, even if it is a nice one. : ) Can you guys please make this more efficient?
